There are many things that we love about certain caravan parks, possibly things that you are not fussed about. However, for us, sometimes the little things are worth gold and ensure we have a brilliant stay.

The two main things that we LOVED about BIG4 Ascot Bendigo Holiday Park:

Shade: Wow…there is so much gorgeous shade in this park, trees everywhere and when we were there it was so green! In addition to this, all of the children’s areas were shaded – the pool, the playground and the jumping pillow. This is a huge plus for us. Another thing that we loved was the amount of seating! Yes, seating…lol…have you stayed at parks where you are supervising the kids at the playground or jumping pillow and there is nowhere to SIT! Both areas have plenty of seating in the shade for parents to relax and be comfortable while watching the younger ones have a blast. The Jumping pillow had bench seats and tables so we could set up and have dinner while they played. Awesome addition.

Cleanliness: We often don’t need a park with all the fancy bells & whistles, all we want is a park to be clean and this park did not disappoint. Manicured gardens, lawns mowed, facilities immaculate with lovely touches like fresh flowers in vases….you could tell that Neil and his team really look after their environment to ensure everyone has a lovely stay. Every location within the park was very well kept, spacious and sparkling. The games room/lounge had an impressive range of activities including pool table, table tennis table, foosball, TV, lounges and dining areas. There was an extra play room for all the kiddies under 6 yrs which was a lovely touch. The camp kitchen was fully equipped, the laundry and clotheslines generous and the bathrooms looked brand spanking new. Nothing felt crammed in…lots of space to enjoy! The pool area was also very tidy with loads of lounges (oh yes, we all love a good banana lounge).

A park that oozed LOVE & CARE…a park that was neat & clean…a park that was not too big…a park that will definitely bring the family back to…and extended family… Loads of cabins too. Bendigo is a gorgeous part of central Victoria, beautiful all year round with loads of things to see and do.
