Our old caravan had an insert that fit into the sink well – we loved it, however, the board could not be used as a cutting board or platter – it was just for space. We knew the we wanted to get something similar for our new van and we had the perfect local team to get the job done.
Last year, we were camping on the Murray with our Aussie Big Lapper mates (Not Board Across Oz) and they had a ripper personalised cheese/cutting board. Once our Vacationer Caravan was finished, we contacted Sharon & Steve from S. Rice Designs and started the ball rolling. They knew exactly what we wanted and after a few measurements & discussions, our order was locked in and we could not wait for it to arrive.
Steve engraved ‘Caravanning with Kids’ into our board, filled the words with resin to give it an amazing finish and then added a special coat to ensure the board is food grade ready.
Hey Presto! We have a beautiful handmade custom board that fills our sink well and doubles as a chopping board & cheese platter. Bloody Brillliant!
