The BEST Aussie made Pegless Clothesline – Review
Adelaide 2013 – forgot the pegs…
Darwin 2014 – rust and other stains on clothes from hanging them over rails, trees etc after once again…forgetting the pegs…
Porpunkah 2015 – didn’t take enough pegs… (I can’t win!)
This is where my quest to find a pegless clothesline began. I had heard rumours that one existed and I wondered… Could this be true? How do they work? Are they easy to use? We went through a few of them in the beginning, the twisted elastic ones were the most common on the market – and although they took up very little room, they were a pain the butt to use! Trying to open the elastic to get our clothes in sometimes needed 4 hands and impossible for the girls to have a go…
I then discovered these Pegless Clotheslines. WOW…I was instantly drawn the fact that they are Aussie owned, designed and packaged which is what Caravanning with Kids are all about – supporting Australian designers and businesses as much as we can…Next was the colour – who doesn’t love a Rainbow? (they are also available in other colours too – check them all out here) They have also been UV stabilised to withstand sunlight…ticking all the boxes at this point, but how easy is it to use?
- Simple bungee cord at both ends, easy to wrap around a tree if camping or around the awning… tick 🙂
- Each plastic ‘slide’ piece clicks in easily, allowing us to make it as long or as short as we need… tick 🙂
- The name says it all – you literally “slide…n…dry”. I have to admit that I had a wee bit of fun simply popping the washing in the little hole and sliding it across…and the novelty has not worn off… tick 🙂
What about the heavier stuff? Towels, jeans, jumpers? No problems at all. Very surprised that it held up to the weight… WINNING! – Each pack is 2 mtres in length…
These pegless clotheslines impressed us so much that we gave them their own home – www.slidendry.com.au
Highly recommend – tested and LOVED…
