Unbelievable! 8 women die from breast cancer every single day in Australia. It took a while for me to get my head around this statistic. Plus, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime!
How can we help? We can all support the National Breast Cancer Foundation by getting involved…
This October, NBCF is encouraging people to come together with friends, family or colleagues and raise funds for life-changing research – which is the very best way to stop breast cancer from taking the women (and men) we love.
There are loads of Pink Ribbon Breakfasts and Brunches that you could attend, and if there is not one in your local community, you could host your very own! Check out the Pink Ribbon Breakfast site here:
We live in a little town called Numurkah in regional Victoria and many of our local Mum’s have been hit hard by this horrible disease. Our Pink Ribbon Brunch is in it’s 4th year and the amazing ladies that organise the event raise thousands every year and over 200 women from the region come together to enjoy, inspire and fundraise. This year, I can’t make it…but it makes me very happy that I will still be doing my bit to help out. You may have noticed on our Facebook page that we are joining the What’s Up! Downunder Summer Series – Convoy for Charity…and this year, the charity that we will be raising money for is the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Woooo hoooo. Just meant to be!
What’s Up! Downunder are hosting a few Happy Hours over the next two weeks…if you live or are travelling around the east and central parts of Victoria, it would be amazing if you could come along…you will find all the details here: We will have our Travel Journals on board and will be donating $5 per sale!
We will also be donating $5 from every Travel Journal ONLINE sale from the 15th of Oct til we get back on the 1st of November, so everyone from around Australia can jump on board.
