Have you heard about Trip In A Van? Last year we followed Justin, Bec and their 3 adorable kids on Facebook as they lived the dream…travelling around Australia in their Jurgens Caravan. Justin is a wiz with his drone and they captured some amazing and incredible footage that loads of other travelling families have loved seeing!
We met Justin last November at the Melbourne Leisurefest – what a great bloke! We laughed and chatted about the wonderful world of the caravan industry and all the fun his family had been up to on the road. We gave him one of our Travel Journals & Log Books and wished him well on their rest of their lap. We kept in touch and have loved following the families adventures.
At Supershow, Wayne and I caught up with Justin again. Oh what a night! We had such a ripper time catching up and hearing about his plans for Lap number 2…yes, you heard right… The Lorrimer family are heading around again!!
We will once again, be following on from our couch – wishing we were where they are! (that was a mouthful..hahaha)

TRIP IN A VAN
So this Year 2017, “Trip In A Van” is off again, and this time we are going the opposite direction – clockwise.. The basic plan is the same as the first lap, stick mainly to the coast, shoot inland now and then to a few epic locations, don’t plan to far ahead and make the most of the time they have to spend with their kids.
A bit about the ‘TIAV’ crew. We are a young family of 5 adventuring around Australia.. There is “The parents” – Justin and Bec, and we have 3 young kids, 2 boys and a girl. Jack is 4, Billy is 3 and Charli is 20 months old.

2016 was the start of the our Families adventure. We packed up our things, bought a caravan, sold our house and left Newcastle, NSW and headed off for an anti-clockwise LAP OF OZ.. all the while trying to find somewhere to relocate and start a new life in a new destination.
What an amazing year we had following the coastline of Australia and enjoying all that it has to offer. The swimming holes and waterfalls, The 4wding adventures, The fishing and snorkelling and enjoying every pristine beach along the way.
Lucky for us, the social media profile we had created for our travels was growing a substantial following of people from all over the world. With this following came interest from other brands and media involved with the caravanning and automotive industry. This then opened the doors to partnerships and sponsorships from interested companies and that sparked the idea of doing ANOTHER LAP OF OZ!!
So in a Nutshell, thats the story of “TRIP IN A VAN”……
The BIG difference of this years travels for TIAV is that we will be filming our whole adventure to create a Doco with the main focus on helping other Aussie families get an idea of how to get on the road and enjoy the Fabulous lifestyle that Caravanning and touring this Great country gives you. We have thoroughly enjoyed our travels as a family and would love to do it forever if we can!
