Picking our TOP 5 Caravanning with Kids Moments for 2017 was tough. It was another year filled with loads of fun, hard work and exciting opportunities. Both the Caravanning with Kids and Travelling with Kids communities continue to grow and melt our hearts with their friendliness and the sharing of their adventures inspires us all!! We introduced many new products to our online store and our little shop in Numurkah PLUS we welcomed our NEW Facebook Group: Aussie Big Lappers – which is for everyone and is nearly at 10,000 amazing members.
Ok…so, what Moments made it to our TOP 5??
NUMBER 5: EASTER IN DENILIQUIN
#5 – We spent Easter at the BIG4 Deniliquin Holiday Park , the weather was perfect, the park was brilliant, the upgraded Splash Park was heated and undercover!! and we were with family…what more could we ask for?? Check out our review here.
NUMBER 4: CIA Victoria Shows
These shows are a highlight of our year for many reasons:
1. We get to meet YOU! We love chatting with families and have met some amazing people who are enjoying the caravanning lifestyle…on weekends…school holidays and BIG lap adventurers…
2. We get to show you our Travel Journals and other goodies from our shop.It all began in early 2015 with the launch of our Australian made Travel Journals and now thousands of families across Australia are using them, creating keepsakes that will last a lifetime 
We love spreading the word about them at these shows…
3. We get to mix it up with incredible leaders in the caravan industry. People that inspire us, educate us and contribute to making this industry AWESOME!!!
We continue to be very proud members of the Caravan Industry Association of Victoria and can’t wait for the Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow 2018 in Feb….

NUMBER 3: The Eyre Peninsula
Our two week adventure on the Eyre Peninsula was INCREDIBLE! We had heard of so many families missing this area and really looked forward to checking it out! Thanks so much to WHATS UP DOWNUNDER for having us on board their Convoy for Charity for another year…and JB Caravans for the ripper Scorpion Sting Family Van Check it all out here.
NUMBER 2: WINTER CARAVANNING
Winter Caravanning was so much FUN. We road tested the Essential Caravans Grant Cruiser and made some awesome memories in the cold! The girls saw SNOW for the first time and Ashlee gave us the BEST reasons why all families should caravan in the Winter!! Check it out here.
Coming in at #1….it was a DRAW!!! These two moments will stay with us FOREVER!!!
NUMBER 1: ANZAC DAY AT THE AUSTRALIAN WAR MEMORIAL & CLIMBING MOUNT KOSCIUSKO
Early in 2017 we headed off on the Snowy River Tour with What’s Up Downunder…in Episode 8, I CLIMBED Mt Kosciusko – I have never felt so ALIVE and exhilarated in my life. Due to the cold and Wayne hurting his shoulder, I made this part of the trip without my family….but with great mates – Macca and Angie Hilton.
In Episode 9 we landed in Canberra for Anzac Day. We left at 3.30am and headed to the Australian War Memorial for the Anzac Day Dawn Service. There was not a dry eye amongst us all as we stood in the rain and were moved by one of the most emotional services we had been to. Wayne wore his late Grandad’s war medals and our girls had loads of questions and learnt so much during the march….An experience that we truly felt blessed and honoured to be a part of xxx
Look our 2018 – we are starting the year with a BANG! We sail on the Spirit of Tasmania in January with Trip In A Van to spend 4 weeks in Tasmania! Check out our Tassie Planning tips here – If you are in Devonport or Hobart, we would love to see you at one of our Happy Hours…
When we get home in February, we pack again to head to SUPERSHOW again…a week exhibiting at the BIGGEST Caravan Show in Victoria… Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow 2018 – SEE YOU ALL THERE!!
